This e-bike is high-quality from top to bottom, as the Shimano e-bike components combine with the Shimano groupset for a crisp and extremely reliable ride. The eBig Nine 300SE is equipped with Shimano MT-200 Hydraulic Disc Brakes for unparalleled braking control in any condition, so that you can ride with confidence knowing that you can stop on a dime when you need to.
The Merida eBig Nine 300SE Electric Mountain Bike is a versatile mountain bike for both serious and recreational riders. Each year Meridaâs electric mountain bikes get better and better, and this year is no exception. All of the e-bike components are integreated extremely well to create what is still a reliable hardtail mountain bike which is extremely fun and exciting to ride.
Features
Prolite 66 Triple Butted Aluminum:Â Our proven high-end aluminium (6066) is extremely light and durable. Using triple butted wall thicknesses and hydroforming technology, we can tune the aluminium tubes to give the best possible stiffness to weight ratio.
X-Taper Headtube:Â Using a tapered head tube with 1 1/8" bearings in the top and 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" in the bottom creates superb stiffness and precise, confidence inspiring steering.
Smooth Welding:Â Sometimes called âdouble pass weldingâ, a second pass over the weld gives a clean organic look to the frame. At first glance you will be convinced it is carbon.
Internal Cable:Â Cables are routed through the frame, entering and exiting through smooth sockets. The bike looks neat, whilst the cables are protected from moisture and dirt.
Smart Entry:Â Cables, housings and brake hoses are clamped under tension to prevent rattling when the trail gets rough. All inlets are completely interchangeable to deal with Di2, hydraulic hoses, brake cable and gear cable housings etc.
DI2 Ready:Â Bikes/frames with the symbol âDi2 Readyâ are prepared for the installation of Di2 technology with battery mounting in the seat post or within the fork steerer.
C-S Post Mount Disc:Â Post mount disc brake calipers fit directly onto the seat stay for a strong and light connection whilst a chainstay post mount positions the caliper on the chainstay within the rear triangle for extra protection and better distribution of braking forces. Another benefit is that internal cable routing is also easier and neater via the chainstay.
15-100 Thru-Axle:Â Selected front forks use a 100âmm wide through axle 12 or 15âmm in diameter to increase lateral stiffness. A 142âmm wide 12 mm rear axle fixed directly into the frame increases rear end stiffness whilst simplifying wheel removal and replacement.
12-148 Thru-Axle âBoostâ:Â New Boost standard â wider axle widths; 110âmm front and 148âmm rear, allowing a shallower spoke angle for stiffer wheels, especially beneficial in 29ers.
F-Mount:Â âF-Mountâ equipped bikes have integrated fittings for mud guards (some bikes require model specific mud guards), making fitting fast and simple.
K-Mount Drop-Out:Â Integrated mount on the chainstay to fit a MERIDA kick stand.
C-Mount:Â âC-Mountâ equipped bikes have the fixing points for a rear rack already integrated (some bikes require model specific rear rack), making fitting fast, simple and reliable.
Lock-Out:Â The suspension fork and/or rear shock can be locked, either directly or via a âremote controlâ lever on the handlebar.
